About Wendy Anderson

I’m Wendy Anderson, Broker/Owner of NextHome Next Stepp in Ashland, Ohio, and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES). I help people buy, sell, and downsize throughout Ashland County and the surrounding North Central Ohio area.

I’ve always believed real estate should feel personal. Because whether you’re buying your first home, moving to Ashland, selling a home you’ve owned for decades, or trying to figure out what comes next, this isn’t just a transaction. It’s your life.

That’s also why I’ve developed a special focus on helping homeowners downsize. Sometimes the home that worked perfectly for 20 or 30 years simply doesn’t fit life anymore. There may be rooms you rarely use, a yard you’re tired of maintaining, or years of belongings you have no idea what to do with.

And downsizing isn't only about finding a smaller home. There are a lot of decisions that happen before a For Sale sign ever goes in the yard. I help my clients sort through those decisions, make a plan, prepare their current home for sale, and figure out what the next move could look like.

As Broker/Owner of NextHome Next Stepp, I’ve built our brokerage around a simple idea: Humans Over Houses. Good real estate is about listening, educating, solving problems, and helping people make good decisions for their own situation.

For sellers, that means looking closely at pricing, preparation, presentation, marketing, and the details that can affect a sale before the home ever hits the market. For buyers, it means understanding the process, asking the right questions, and having someone in their corner from the first showing through closing.

I’m also a big believer in education. You’ll find me sharing real estate information through videos, blogs, social media, and community resources because you shouldn’t have to be ready to buy or sell before you can ask a real estate question.

When I'm not working, I'm usually with my family, watching HGTV or YouTube, planning something Disney-related, or sitting somewhere with a tall glass of lemonade. Preferably on a screened-in patio.
